Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at White & Mahon Funeral Home, with Rev. William Matheny officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Evan Pitts, Brandon Brown, Austin Pitts, Brett Pitts, Harris Pitts and Wayne Storey.
Mrs. Pitts was born July 24, 1948, in Hornbeak, daughter to the late John Albert and the late Helen Frances Johnson. She married Paul Wayne Pitts on Nov.. 20, 1965. He survives. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy (Amy) Pitts of Obion, and Mike (Jessica) Pitts of Troy; six grandchildren, Brandon Brown, of Kenton, Evan Pitts, of Troy, Chelcy Pitts, of Tiptonville, Madison Pitts, Austin (Taylor) Pitts of Union City, and Brett (Natalie) Pitts of Troy; two step-grandchildren, Kenneth Hunter (Ragan) Walker of South Fulton, and Alaina (Hunter) Daniel of Hornbeak; five great-grandchildren, McKenzie Pitts of Troy, Presley and Connor Pitts of Union City, Georgia and David Pitts of Troy, and Olivia Anne Brown of Dyersburg; two step great-grandchildren, Kenneth Cole Walker of South Fulton, and Paisley Claire Daniel of Hornbeak; one sister, Janet (Frankie) Canada of Hornbeak; and three brothers, Albert (Karen) Johnson of Germany, Randall (Jan) Johnson and Donald Johnson, all of Hornbeak; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, David Lynn Pitts.
