Trammell, Nancy Belle Duncan-88, of Route 1, Winfield, passed away suddenly on Sunday morning, February 20, 1983, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lester King in Knoxville. She was the daughter of the late Whig Duncan and the late Anna Strunk Duncan, and was also preceded in death by her husband, David Trammell, and one daughter, Geneva Grant. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Trammell is survived by two daughters, Ann William of Palatka, Fla., and Pauline King of Knoxville; two sons, Bill Trammell of Winfield, and Thomas E. Trammell of Tupelo, Miss.; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, at the West-Murley Funeral Home Chapel with H.G. Pratt of Moorehead, Ky., and James West officiating. H.G. Pratt and the Jack Chitwood Family sang. Burial followed in the Chitwood Cemetery in Winfield. (Source: West Union Association of United Baptists Minutes, 1983, p32)
