Ben is the second son of Stephen and Margaret (Craddock) COHEE. He settled in Fredericktown on the North shore of the Sassafras River. He was a boat captain.
He married Amanda J Covey in 1856 and together they had 14 children. Nine were still alive at the time of his death in 1901.
