Amanda was born in Caroline County and is probably the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Camper) COVEY.

She married Benjamin F COHEE in 1856 and together they had 14 children. Eight were still alive at the time of her death in 1909.

Some of Benjamin and Amanda's children are: Josephine, Stephen Andrew, Margaret Eveline, Amanda, Sarah Pauline, Benjamin Franklin, George Cecil, Mary Dorothy Estelle, Charles Borromeo, Annie Isabelle, Arthur Thomas, Catherine, and Laura Lillian.
