Kathryn Sue Bailey was called home to be with our Lord on July 21, 2018. Suzy was born in Munich, Germany, February 25, 1962. She is survived by her husband William “Bill” Bailey and daughters, Kristina Bailey, Amanda Alcantara, Sheila Alcantara, seven grandchildren, and her beloved Bobby. She also leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Henrietta Huddleston, of Newport News; father and stepmother, Darrell and Ilsa Huddleston, of Pirmasens, Germany; her sisters: Sheryl Davis, Pamela (Brian) McCann, Sandra Roberson, Deborah (Mike) Whittington, Stephanie (Mahmoud) Faridi, all of Newport News, and Patricia (Kay) Wurtz, of Pirmasens, Germany; and sister-in-law, Judy Bender. The family is very grateful for the friendships of Bruce, Adelle, and Ann.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, from 5-7 pm at Altmeyer Riverside Chapel (7415 River Road, NN). A Memorial Service and Repast will be held at Huntington Mennonite Church (785 Harpersville Road, NN) at 11 am, Saturday, July 28. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Warwick River Christian School of Newport News c/o Kristina Bailey’s continued Christian education.
