Gerald Cleveland Peters, 75 of Social Circle, GA, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at his residence in Cumming, GA, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on September 9, 1942, to the late Harris Cleveland Peters and the late Hazel Rebecca Peters. He graduated from Social Circle High School and briefly attended Piedmont College. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard. He will be lovingly remembered for his kind heart, gentle disposition and all the kisses that he shared and although he never had children of his own, he always loved on his nieces and nephews and all the great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Harris and his mother Hazel from Social Circle, GA.
He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherrie and Douglas Parham, Jean and Larry Griggs and Marie Chasteen. He is also survived by his niece Shana Onufer (Jeff) and nephews Bryan Chasteen (Luciana), Lane Chasteen (Janet), Scott Griggs (Sarah), Brian Griggs, and Jonathan Griggs (Stacie) and seventeen great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 27, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Social Circle, GA.
