J. F. Love, 79 years old, route 2, Alma, died Saturday, April 30 in a local rest home. He was born May 9, 1886 to John O. and Samantha (Adams) Love, pioneer residents of the Alma area. He was a retired farmer and member of the Freedom Baptist church, north of Alma.
Survivors are two sons, Bill Love of Alma and J. L. Love of Jonesboro, Ark.; six daughters, Mrs. Perry McAtee and Mrs. Carl Leftwhich, both of Raymondville, Texas, Mrs. Macon Cowthon, Mrs. Agnes Rackley and Mrs. W. C. Holt, all of Alma, and Mrs. Johnny Davis of Fort Smith; 26 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Tuesday at 2:30 pm at the Freedom Baptist church. The officiating ministers were Leslie Peterman and Elmo Sossoman. Burial in Love cemetery was under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
The casket bearers were W. C. Holt, Perry McAtee, Macon Cawthon, Daylon Cawthon, Johnny Davis and Carl Leftwhich.
The honorary pallbearers were Harry Gordon, Kenneth Stevenson, George Rackley and Jack Holt.
