Donna Hansen passed away July 24, 2018, at Trinity Center at Luther Park in Des Moines. She was born November 21, 1929, in Des Moines to Donald and Wilma Brennan.

Donna was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, retired from Mercy Hospital in 2011 after 31 years of service and was a lifetime member of Union Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed wintering in Florida with her husband and scrapbooking. Donna’s greatest passion was her family and the time they spent together.

Donna is survived by her children, Carla Kauzlarich, Craig (Myra) Hansen, Steve Hansen, Bryan (Charlene) Hansen, and Joy (Dave) Hibbs; 14 grandchildren, Marci Johnsten (Timothy), Kami Lentz (Michael), Troy Hansen (Shelby), Lindsay Rauterkus (Sean), Shelby Hansen, Shawnae Henderson (Chris), Andrew Hansen, Jared Hansen (Laura), Blake Hansen, Bradley Hansen, Breanna Ostrander (Isaac), Kira Long, Matthew Long, and Maci Long; and 22 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hansen; son Gary Hansen, and grandsons, Brennan Hansen and Mason Long.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a cause close to Donna’s heart.
