Mr. Howard was born September 18, 1937 in Royalton, Kentucky the son of the late Luther Clay and Rossie Alice Wheatley Howard. Also, preceding him in death are two sisters: an infant and Eleanor Maurine Weaver.
Mr. Howard served his country in the US Army until he was honorably discharged. He was an owner/operator of 3D Automotive until retirement. He served as the Pastor of the Salyersville Trinity Full Gospel Church of Salyersville, Kentucky for over 20 years.
In his passing he leaves behind, his wife: Lorraine Patrick Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky; four daughters: Linnea Ann Roark of Salyersville, Kentucky, Sheila H. Thom of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Regina Osborne of Warsaw, Kentucky and Trena Holbrook of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; two brothers: Danny Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky and Edmond “Buddy” Howard of Winchester, Kentucky; also surviving are nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren with one on the way and a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Darrell I. Howard were conducted Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Salyersville Trinity Full Gospel Church on Burning Fork Road in Salyersville, Kentucky. Comforting words were given by clergy Eddie Pelphrey. Burial followed the service at the Richmond Cemetery in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Military Rites were given by the Magoffin County Chapter 15 DAV. Arrangements were in care of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky.
