Harold was born and raised in Blaine, Tennessee. He spent his career serving the US Army as a Civil servant, a reservist, and on active duty. He was an authentic follower of Jesus Christ and served as a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church in various capacities. Harold's passion was also serving with Gideon's International; passing out many Bibles.
Preceded in death by parents James and Bessie Perrin; sister, Alva Walker; brothers, Bud Perrin and Troy Perrin.
Harold also loved his family which included his wife of 61 years, Betty; son, Tim (Patti) of Woodbridge, Virginia; daughter, Becky (Tommy) Campbell of Knoxville; grandchildren, Austin (Chelsey) Campbell of Marietta, Georgia, Kristi (Logan) Newton of Nashville, Tennessee, Will (Taylor) Campbell of Chattanooga, Katie Perrin (fiancé Christian) of Greenwood, South Carolina and Nathan Perrin of Knoxville; Great-Granddaughter, Ellis Grace Campbell of Marietta, Georgia; sister, Jean Miller; brother, Billy Ray Perrin and sister, Wanda Gray. Numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church at 7 PM. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM prior to the service. Family and friends will meet 11:30 am, Thursday, July 26, 2018 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery-John Sevier Highway for graveside services.
