Annie Delois (A.D.) Anderson, 63, of Wichita Falls died Saturday, May 10, 2003, in Wichita Falls.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Church of the Living God, Pillar Ground of Truth with Elder Nathaniel Mosley officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Wells Funeral Home.
On August 13, 1939, in Tennessee Colony (Yard), Texas, O.D. and Lillie Bell Williams became the proud parents of their only daughter. The first child of their three children, whom they named Annie Delois, but called her A.D.
She attended and received education in the Bethel Elementary and Massey Lake High School.
She accepted Christ into her life as a child and united with Friendship Baptist Church in Yard, Texas.
In October of 1957, A.D. united in holy matrimony to Van Anderson. That union was blessed with seven children. In October of 1958, A.D. and Van made Wichita Falls their home. A.D. later united with Church of the Living God, Pillar Ground of Truth under the leadership of Elder Lonnie Wilson. She was a member of the choir, mission department, and church clerk for many years until her health failed. She continued to support the church financially.
On Saturday, May 10, 2003, A.D. went home to be with the Lord, ending her pain and suffering. Those left behind to cherish her memories are: her husband of 45 years, Van Anderson; seven children: Evelyn Joyce Neal (Burnis) of Dallas, Annie Reney, Shelia V., and Lorraine, all of Wichita Falls; Van Anderson Jr. (Darlene) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Eric (Dorothy) of Wichita Falls, and James of Cedar Hill, Texas; 17 grandchildren: Isaac Wyndell, Bvorn, Tia, Thaddeus, Michael, Jesse, Tiffany, LaTora T., Charee, Isaiah, Sheridan Jai, Audryann, Semaj, Crystal, Lexsee, Brunette and Daniel; six great-grandchildren: Alexis, Jaelen, Xavion, Alexandria, Nicholas and Miziah; two brothers, James Darren (Barbara) and Jerry Dean, both of Dallas; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She also leaves behind special lifelong friends Mrs. Linda Fields, Mrs. Mary Bowen and family, and Ms. Jennifer Tyler.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
