Lexington-On Sunday, July 22, 2018 Rhonda Jaynes Nelson loving wife, mother, and grandmother (Nana) passed away at the age of 56. Rhonda was born on November 17, 1961 in Lexington to the late Larry and Elizabeth Jaynes.
She was the manager of Murphy USA on Hwy 1 in Lexington for the last 5 years. On May 29, 1993 she married F. Darren Nelson. They raised four daughters and an adopted son together. Rhonda had a passion for helping people. She never met a stranger. She was known for her quick wit and captivating smile. She enjoyed being with her family, enjoying her animals, riding motorcycles and playing the guitar. She will be missed by many in the community.
She is survived by her mother: Elizabeth; sister: Teresa Silva (William); brothers: Larry aka Buddy (Kathie) and Bennie (Dawn); husband: Darren; five children: Tasha, Brandi, Robin, Anita and David (DJ); thirteen grandchildren: Bryce, Athena, Ameliagh, Nathan, Kayla, Hayden, Abigal, Jordan, Aubrey, Parker, Paisley, Piper and Talynn
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 7 PM to 8:30 PM at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Funeral Service was held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 6 PM at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
