Deborah Lynn [Nelson] Robbins of Chester, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at the age 67 on July 23, 2018 in Berlin, Connecticut. She was born on June 19, 1951 to Emma Ellenore [David] Rudewicz (1926- ) and the late Carl Clifford Nelson (1926-2003). She was predeceased by her husband Richard Schroebel Robbins (1948-2010) whom she married on September 6, 1998.

Debbie was a graduate of Valley Regional High School in Deep River, Connecticut, Class of 1969. She recently earned her Associate of Science General Studies degree from Middlesex Community College, Middletown, Connecticut. She was a talented artist who led an unconventional life.

In addition to her mother, she leaves behind siblings: Christine Ann Nelson, and David C. Nelson; her children: Kerin Smollen, Heather MacArthur, Tara Ellis, Alyssa Trettel, and Albert Janschewitz; as well as her grandchildren: Briana, Isaiah, Maya, Aria, Max, and Ben.

Donations may be made in Deborah's memory to National Alliance on Mental Illness and/or the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative.
