Born June 11, 1939, in Cordell, Scott County,Tennessee, he was a son of the late Benjamin Harrison York and Della Hutson York.
He was a truck driver for KOI.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Elmer York, Delmer York, and Golman York,
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, whom he married on March 14, 1970; three sons; one daughter; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A memorial gathering will be held from noon - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the York residence.
