Richard Harold Brown oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Brown of Montrose Iowa was born January 27, 1911, and departed this life April 13, 1918, being 7 years 2 months and 17 days old. He is survived by his parents and one sister Marie and one brother Ervin. He also leaves his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. R. Matthes of Keokuk, Iowa and Leroy Brown of Montrose, Iowa also four Aunts and six Uncles besides numerous other relatives.
He was of a sweet disposition and loved by all who knew him, he was very ambitious in schoolwork, and all his undertakings, and he bore his last sickness with great patience.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mathias, Pastor of the Baptist church of Keokuk, and the remains of little Richard were laid to rest in the old part of the Montrose cemetery.
The Journal extends sympathy to the bereaved family.
