Bobby Ray Burns, 73, a resident of McComb, MS passed away July 21, 2018 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be Monday July 23, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Hartman Jones Funeral Home and will continue on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM. Dr. David Millican will officiate. Burial will be in Hollywood cemetery.
Bobby was born October 13, 1944 in Picayune, MS to James Prentiss Burns, Sr. and Allie Mae Bates Burns.
Mr. Burns was a member of South McComb Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoors man, he enjoyed deer hunting and gardening. Bobby worked as a carpenter, he built many homes in the McComb area. He was described by his family as a master craftsman. He will be missed by all those who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dorothy Burns Penton; and his first wife, Mary Jane Edwards Burns.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Burns of McComb; his daughters and sons-in-law, Monica Anne Valentine and James Robert Valentine of Brandon, MS, Donna Price and Wayne Price of McComb, Bobbi Jayne Burdett of McComb and Beth Johnson and William Johnson, Jr. of McComb; a brother, James (JP) Prentiss Burns, Jr. of Picayune, MS; two sisters, Juanita Coulter and Brenda Burns of Picayune, MS; grandchildren, Matthew Valentine, Megan Valentine and fiance' Shane Monistere, Melissa Valentine, Phillip Price and his wife Ragan, Timothy Price and his wife Katelyn, Lindsay Dunn Carter and her husband Russ, Tyler Dunn and his wife Jolee, Mary Lynn Dunn, Kelli Johnson and fiance' Josh Stinson; great grandchildren, Lainey Quinn Valentine, Kinsley Brister, Cohen Price, Kase Price, Everett Price, Anniston Jayne Carter, Laynee Rae Dunn and Rylee Lin Dunn; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
