Born August 18, 1939 in Dehue,WV., she was the daughter of the late William and Lola Curry Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Margaret Robinson Curry. Rebecca was a member of the First Baptist Church of Logan for 66 years. She was a board member for years with the Logan Ambulance Authority, former columnist for the Logan News and the Logan Banner and Court Advocate for the Tug Valley Recovery Shelter.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 53 years, John Reed; children, Margaret Ellen (Jr.) Nolan, John (Malissa) Reed II and Jennifer (Ray) Parsonsl one sister, Betty (Willis) Taylor Griffin; five grandchildren, Brittany Parsons, Aleesha Parsons, Marlea, Kyle and Cassie Nolan, four nieces and nephews, one God child, Zachary Browningl one sister-in-law, Peggy (Tommy) Slater, and special daughter Tammy Rickert and special friends Don, Melanie and Braeden McDaniel and Earnestine Hill.
