Cathy battled pancreatic cancer for the last 2 years, she gave it a good fight but the cancer won in the end. She died with her loving son and husband by her side. She graduated Horseheads High School in 1980, Elmira Business Institute in 1981. She worked at Elmira Correctional Facility till she moved to Fort Worth,Texas. For the last 20+ years she worked at American Animal Health, in Fort Worth, as Finance Director. She is predeceased by her grand parents , Charles & Lorraine Drake and Allan J & Gladys MacDonell, uncle Daniel MacDonell and aunt Barbara MacDonell Hansen. She is survived by her husband Michael Abel and son Mark J. Drake, stepdaughter Randi Tyler, her parents James & Joan MacDonell Drake of DeLand, Fl-sisters; Deborah & husband Timothy of Bridgewater, NJ - AnnMargaret (Margy) Edgerly of Horseheads, NY - her Aunt Eileen and Uncle Daniel Mattoes of Providence, RI - several cousins, nieces and nephews and many, many, friends. Per her request, there will be no service at this time. "Until we meet again, may God keep you in His loving arms."
