William L. Courtney, 80, of Hixson, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018.
William was of Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Witzel and son, Lebron Courtney.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Courtney, children, Chris (Kendra) Courtney, of Hixson, Mark (Cynthia) Courtney, of Lookout Mountain, and Greg (Christina) Courtney, of Hixson. Also, daughter in law, Glenna J. Courtney, of Florida, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One brother, Larry (Sandy) Courtney, of Chattanooga, Gary Witzel, of Florida and sister, Sandra Smith, of East Ridge and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral
