Lucille Henderson-Sanchez, 86, of Columbus died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA with Rev. Cindy Bennett officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 11:30 to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Henderson-Sanchez was born August 10, 1924 in Coldwater, Tennessee daughter of the late Mary Ann Hinson Burges and Sam Mathis Burgess. She was the owner, operator and floral designer of Curio Creations and was active in the Columbus Flower Workshop. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Pedro Sanchez and James Brady Henderson. She leaves behind her beloved children, Suanne Hazelrigs (Steve) of Nashville, TN, Jim Henderson (Sheryl) of River Ridge, LA, Mike Henderson (Jackie), David Henderson, Hal Henderson (Ellen) and Holly Pendleton (Dave), all of Columbus, GA; one sister, Bettye Huff of Atlanta, GA. "Grandmother" to 20 grandchildren and "GiGi" to 29 great grandchildren.
