Orrice is a son of Orrice Francis Murdock and Celestia Caroline Sailors - the youngest of their seven children. He married Jennie Josephine Rapstad, November 17, 1924 in Billings, Montana. She died in 1936. Orrice then married Vera Egan Witbeck, November 22, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
