Glen Clinton Williams, 83, of Thomasville, died at his home on Friday, July 20, 2018. Born in Valdosta on January 27, 1935, he was a son of the late Allie Mae Wilson and Andrew Clinton Williams. Formerly of Valdosta and Savannah, Mr. Williams was a Construction Inspector for 17 years with the city of Savannah. He was a member of Forrest Street United Methodist Church in Valdosta. Glen was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Falcons. He enjoyed gardening and doing yardwork. A devoted father and grandfather, he dearly loved his wife of 62 years, Doris. He was a fishing enthusiast, he loved to dance and he loved music. He was a great cook and he cherished time spent with family and friends gathered together for good food and fellowship.

Survivors are his wife, Doris Smith Williams of Thomasville; a son, Gary and Gina Williams of Roswell; grandchildren, Blake and Katie Williams, Chad and Whitney Williams of Woodstock, Aldyn and Brandon Sires; great grandchildren, Smith and Grey Sires; son in law, Randy Cooper of Canton; sister, Eleanor Wilkerson of Thomasville, brothers, Dale and Carolyn Williams of Waycross, Roger Williams of Thomasville, and many nieces and nephews. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert Marcus Williams and a daughter, Suzy Williams Cooper, brothers, Fred Williams, Billy Williams, Tom Williams, sisters, Martha Williams, Mary Cook and Gladys Smith, and a brother in law, Red Wilkerson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Wilkerson will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
