Lucy Lurline Ward, 75, of Pensacola, died Friday, July 13, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Ward was born January 29, 1943 in Lanett, Alabama to Marvin Jones and Dorothy Jones. She moved to Pensacola in 1950 where she attended Escambia High School. She retired from Pen Air Federal Credit Union after many years of service. She was attended Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Mrs. Ward enjoyed crocheting, cooking, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, shopping and collecting dolls and teapots. Mrs. Ward’s husband, Kenneth A. Ward; son, Kenneth V. Ward; mother and father preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Doug Ward of Boaz, AL; daughter, Michelle Cranford (Quincy) of Guntersville, AL; granddaughter, Chandra Walls (Jonathan) of Albertville, AL; grandson, Wade Cranford of Charlotte, NC; great grandson, Oliver Gareth Walls of Albertville, AL; sisters, Nancy Frasure (Homer) of Phenix City, AL and Sheree McNabb (David) of Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. A special thanks from Mrs. Ward’s family to Dr. Hawthorne, Father Pat Foley, Covenant Care and Gary Zeckkine for their care and support. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society. BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic Highway is entrusted with arrangements.
