David Glen “Bear” Walters, 63, of Pinkstaff, Illinois, formerly of Mt. Carmel, died Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 21, 1955 in Fairfield, IL to Glendale “Tubby” and Patricia Ann (Holcomb) Walters. He worked for OH &F in Grayville, IL as a truck driver, and was a driving instructor at Wabash Valley College.

David was a member of the Mt. Carmel Gold Wing Club. He enjoyed camping, traveling to see family out west, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his daughters Denise Sloan of Brazil, IN and Danielle (Corey) Clayton of Evansville, IN; brothers, James Pichon, Rick Walters, Timothy Walters; sisters Cathy Shipman and Linda Williams; and special friend Vanessa Black.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
