Elizabeth Keene (Samford) was the daughter of William Keene and Elizabeth Rodgers Keene Banks. William Keene was born on Kent Island, Maryland on March 10, 1642, and died in 1684 in St. Stephens Parrish, Northumberland County, Virginia. (The will of William Keene is missing from the records, however, a probate of his will was granted to his wife Elizabeth Rodgers Keene Banks on May 20, 1685.) Elizabeth Rodgers Keene Banks was also from St. Stephens Parrish Northumberland County, Virginia....she died in 1720. After the death of her first husband William Keene, Elizabeth remarried, her second husband was Thomas Banks, who also predeceased her. There were no children by her second husband Thomas Banks. Elizabeth Rodgers Keene Banks' will was dated May 23, 1720, and probated July 20, 1720. Her daughter Elizabeth Keene Samford died before 1707, without a will.
