David Keith "Bubba" Hobbs, 61, of Apollo, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 21, 2018. He was born Feb. 15, 1957, in Ansted, W.Va., son of the late Romie and Mildred (Hudson) Hobbs. David retired from Verizon after a 35-year career in operations management. He was the pastor of Victory Bible Chapel and the owner of Victory Stables. David enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting deer, calling in turkeys, and his dog, Dale. Dave's purpose in life was to serve Christ and he who was crucified according to 2 Corinthians 5:18, Galatians 2:20-21 and 2nd Timothy 2:15. His wish and last prayer was that all would read his favorite book in the Bible, "Titus." Known as the "Big Bear," he loved his wife Sandy, his "Red Head", and his daughters and sons. David was a big man with a big heart. He gave his life to serve others in hope of their souls to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. David was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Kimbra (Hess) Hobbs; and sisters, Betty Lee Roberson and Alice Faye Hardman. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sandra A.
