She was born near Dawn, Missouri July 22, 1887. She lived in Missouri fifty-six years before moving to Wyoming, where she lived for 14 years. She had lived in Idaho for the past two years.
She joined the Enon church in 1908. She was united in marriage to Ira Rea Martin on December 26, 1906. To this union eight children were born. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Ira; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Baker of Rupert, Idaho, Mrs. Florence McClain of El Paso, Texas and Miss Lucille Martin of Dayton, Ohio; four sons, Ira of Dan Paul, Idaho, Lawrence L., of Andrews, Texas, Wilber E. of Independence, Missouri and Benjamin M. of Mooresville, Penn.; fourteen grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Leslie Barlow of Breckenridge, Mrs. Charles Rothacher and Mrs. Ella Page of Kansas City; and three brothers, Mack Mealon of Sheldon, Iowa, Stanley L. and Benjamin of Breckenridge. She was preceded in death by one son, James William, who died in infancy.
She was a devoted wife, a kind and loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5, 1959, at Enon Church at 2 p.m. Rev. John Radford officiated at the services. Interment was in the Enon Cemetery under direction of the Michael Funeral Home." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, April 8, 1959
