Funeral services for Jennie Margaret Lidy Johnson, 86, of Blackville, SC will be held two o’clock p.m., Friday, July 13, 2018 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Floyd Dukes officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the funeral home on Friday; she will be buried at the Williston Cemetery. Mrs. Jennie passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.
Born in Moosic, Pennsylvania she was a daughter of the late William Thirl Lidy and Phoebe Ophlia Malone Lidy and married to Arthur “Art” David Johnson, Sr. of the home. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Bryson City, NC. She worked as a buyer and in sales in the men’s department of Belk’s and J. B. White’s Department stores. She retired as secretary from SRS Heating and Cooling.
In addition to her husband, Art survivors include her children Dianna Lynn Wesson of Orlando, FL, Donna Lee (Reverend Russell) Sukhia of Virginia, Gail Marie (Charles) Bender of Barnwell, SC and Barbara Jean (Steven) Still of Blackville; step-children Arthur Todd Johnson and Morgan; sister Janet Louise Williams of Orlando, FL; 11 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Arthur David Johnson, Jr. (#151027799)
