Clyde Owen “Ike” Hoffman, age 89, of Gresham, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 in Appleton. Clyde was born on November 28, 1928 in the Town of Herman, son of the late Alexander and Selma Anna (Heins) Hoffman. In 1951, he enlisted into the United States Army, serving our country until his honorable discharge in 1952. On September 4, 1954, Clyde was united in marriage to Carol Raddant in Wausau. Clyde lived in the Town of Herman all his life. He was a partner in Hoffman Transit, Hoffman Wood Fiber and the Hoffman Homestead. Clyde was a member of the Gresham American Legion Post # 390 and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gresham Ward. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling, softball, motorcycle rides and going to auctions.



Clyde is survived by: his wife of 63 years, Carol; their children, Jeffrey (Julie) Hoffman of Gresham, Randle (Ann) Hoffman of Gresham, Joey (Chris) Hoffman of Gresham and Vicki (Scott) Cerveny of Gresham; 19 grandchildren, Jerod (Michelle) Hoffman, Jacob (Rebecca) Hoffman, Joshua (Brenda) Hoffman, Jill (Joseph) Ejnik, Jeana (Brandon) Winslow, Jenni (Christopher) Madle, Jasmine (Josh) Weier, Tara (Brian) Hoffman, Ashley (Matt) Hoffman, Nicholas (Rochelle) Hoffman, Ethan (Kelli) Hoffman, Destinee (Dillon) Huntington, Bryce (Lauren) Hoffman, Hannah (Eric) Christensen, Whitney (Chris) Holcombe, Larissa Cerveny, Scott, Jr. (Nikendra) Cerveny, Neal Cerveny and Valarie Cerveny; 34 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Delbert (Kathleen) Hoffman of Gresham and Dan (Sue) Hoffman of Gresham; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.



He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Omer, Glenn, Sanford “Butch” and his sister, Evelyn Bohl.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gresham Ward with Bishop Randle K. Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
