Mrs. Karen A. (Price) Dixon, 75, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, PA. Born August 31, 1942 in Mercersburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Lynn and Virginia (Burhanan) Price. She and her husband of over 57 years, Mr. Charles E. Dixon, Sr., were married January 10, 1961. Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker who had previously served as secretary at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Greencastle for a number of years and was a member of Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, also of Greencastle.
In addition to her husband she is survived by five children, Karen L. Gutierrez and her husband, Antonio of Hagerstown, MD, Charles E. Dixon, Jr. and his wife, Rainelle of Greencastle, Brenda L. Perez of Shady Grove, Joseph E. Dixon and his wife, Robin of State Line, PA, and Mary Jane Dixon of Greencastle; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan McCullough and Charlotte Price, both of Mercersburg; three brothers, Ted "Abner" Price of Louisiana and Art Price and Herb Price, both of Mercersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Alfred E. Dixon; grandson, Matthew Dixon; and two brothers, Dick Price and Lee Price.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. Greencastle, PA, with Rev. Lillie B. McMullen officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Saturday in the funeral home.
