The daughter of James Hall Smith and Rachel Frances Brown.

Janet Smith of Eagle Springs, died Friday, May 4, 2012 at Peak Resources-Pinelake, Carthage.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., May 8 at Holy Way Church.

Survivors include daughters Akita Tanner of Southern Pines, and Natacia Tanner of Candor; sons Antuan Tanner of Troy, William McNeil of McCain, and Lanny Cole III of Taylortown; sisters Tisha Cole of Eagle Springs, Pecolia McLendon of Eagle Springs; Elder Louvenia Marshall of Biscoe, Ola B. Cagle of Eagle Springs, and Patricia Cagle of Biscoe; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
