Lorrie E. Scott passed away Monday following a battle with cancer. She was born in Lodi and lived there until she was 21 years old. She spent several years in Southern California and called Benicia her home since 1993 before recently moving to Vallejo. She has worked as a campus supervisor at Benicia High School for over 24 years.
Lorrie was a free-spirit who enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball, gardening, roller coasters, walking her dogs and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lorrie is survived by her daughters Jennie (Matthew) Waymire and Melinda Scott; sister Michele Porter; nephew Michael Porter, her grandchildren Dominic Waymire, Joseph Waymire, Luke Scott-Gonzalez & Wesley Waymire; her dogs Tut & Taz and her grand dog Pep.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Northgate Christian Fellowship, 2201 Lake Herman Road, Benicia. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. Visitation will be held Sunday at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel from 1-5:00 p.m. The family prefers donations in her name be made to Lighthouse Covenant Fellowship, 1175 Church Street, Benicia.
