Mary Cooley, 93, of Johnson City, NY passed away, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Hilltop Campus Of United Methodist Homes, Johnson City, NY. Born April 4, 1925 in Binghamton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Linko and Sophie Buchak. Her husband, Harry Cooley predeceased her in 2012.
She enjoyed sewing, baking and multiple crafting. She was famous for her apple pie and molasses cookies.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald (Deborah) Cooley of Overland Park, KS, , Brian Cooley of Johnson City, NY, Craig Cooley of Binghamton, NY, daughters and sons-in-laws, Eileen (Kenneth) Derr, Johnson City, NY Laura Cooley (Michael Sahorsch), of Orford, NH and Marcia Barfield, of Port Crane, NY, grandchildren; Kenny, Christopher, Kevin, Jonathan, Nathan, and Marina, great-grandchildren; Cassidy, Chloe, Cheyna, Orion, and Emily a sister and brother-in-law, Susan & Ernie Fitzgerald, of New Orleans, LA, and several nieces and nephews and all her grand dogs.
Besides her parents and husband, a son-in-law, H.M. Barfield, a brother, George Linko, and sisters, Ann Linko, Helen Linko and Margaret Bignoli predeceased her.
Services: 4:00 PM Sunday at Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose, PA
Visitation: 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home
Graveside: 11:00 am Monday at Westside Cemetery, Brooklyn, PA
Instead of flowers: memorial contributions may be made to Rotary International, 14280 Collections Center Drive, Chicago, IL 60693.
