Elmer H. Ohler, 89, of Somerset, formerly of Rockwood, died April 15, 2013 in Somerset Hospital. He was born Dec. 23, 1923 in Upper Turkeyfoot Twp., a son of Alexander and Mattie Jane (Younkin) Ohler. His parents, brothers, Charles and Harold and sisters, Elsie Kreger, Alice Porterfield, Eva Hoover and Mildred Ohler preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Roy H. Ohler and wife, Jeannie of Florida and a daughter, Cathy King and husband, Thomas of St. Leonard, Md.; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Sarah Singo and husband, Frank, of Markleton. Elmer retired from Laurel Hill State Park. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Friends will be received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will follow the viewing at 8 p.m. with Rev. James Monticue officiating.
