Duane Glen Ruple, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ruple of Grand Island, died early today at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., of head injuries incurred Thursday when he fell from a truck. Pvt. Ruple was taking basic training at the camp. He was born Jan. 9, 1932, and attended the Grand Island schools, graduating from Senior High School. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but the Geddes Funeral Home of Grand Island will have charge.
Survivors are his parents, who live at 1424 North Park; and sisters, brothers William Paul Ruple, of Charlotte, N. C., Phillis Ruple, Washington, D. C., and Raoul, Janice, Lynn and Connie, Grand Island; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Emma Ruple, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lee, 506 North Broadwell.
