"Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ressie Brown, of Marshall; three sons, Legurtis Brown Jr., of Dallas, and Lorenza Brown and William C. Brown, both of Marshall; five daughters, Mrs. Lula B. Perricone, Mrs. Gertrude Anderson and Mrs. Dessie Lee Jordan, all of Dallas, and Mrs. Mary A. Brightman and Miss Teresa Brown, both of Marshall; three brothers, Samuel Brown, of Chicago, Illinois, and John L. Brown Jr., of Marshall, Benjamin "B.J." Brown, of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Katie Holt, of Carthage, and Mrs. Mae Ella Carr, of Marshall; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews."
Burial arrangements were under the direction of Eddie Richardson and the funeral directors with Lewis Funeral Home.
