Larry was born on March 1, 1922, to the late James F. Chambers, Sr. and Roselma (Reitzel) Chambers. He was a graduate of Steelton High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was retired from New Cumberland Army Depot where he worked as a management analyst. Larry is survived by brothers, Richard of Baltimore, MD; Terrance of Quicksburg, VA and a sister, Rose of Pinellas Park, Fl. He was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Leedy and Patricia Gerhart; and a brother, James F. Chambers, Jr.
Laura, born January 30, 1923 to Owen Kelley and Ella (Confer) Kelley in Clarence, PA and moved to Harrisburg in the 1940s. She was employed at Olmstead Air Force Base, which is where she met Larry. While Larry was deployed during WWII she attended beauty school. After she graduated she eventually opened her own salon which she operated for over 30 years.
Laura was predeceased by four brothers; Glen, Jack, Pat and Lee and two sisters; Geraldine Abelson and Donna Neidigh.
A service honoring both of them will be held at a later date to be determined.
