Mr. Thomas “Jack” Douglas Sr. 90 was called home from this life on July 18, 2018, at his residence in Sontag, MS. Jack was born November 17, 1927 in Sontag, MS to Luther A. and Brittie Lee Jackson Douglas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2018 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag, MS and continuing Friday July 20, 2018, from 9AM until service time at 2 PM with graveside services following in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ed King and Bro. Richard Green will officiate the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jack retired from Kellwood Manufacturing as a cutting foreman; he was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church 74 years and a deacon for 66 years. He also was a member of the Lawrence County Hospital Board for 32 years and served his country in the World War II era in the United States Army. He loved his church, church family, and his family and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Sarah Magee Douglas, son Thomas Jackson “Jack” Douglas Jr. and his wife Vonda Kay Douglas, daughter Rhonda Martin and husband Doug, one sister Anna Crane and husband James Earl, 4 grandchildren Chelsea Douglas, Celeste Honea, Arlene Daughdrill, Kari Lambert and 6 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Luther and Brittie Douglas, 6 brothers Marvin, Marshall (Buddy), M.L. (Snooky), Oscar, Troy, and Sidney Douglas, 3sisters Lillian Bardwell, Alice Smith and Grace Case.
