Sharon is predeceased by her parents, Bertha (Bert) Buehner-Blok and Hartsel (Bill) Blok. She is survived by her husband of 55+ years, Gaylord Parsons; their children, Deborah (Craig) Luck, Becky (Mark) Frye, Phillip (Kristine) Parsons, Andrew (Jengira) Parsons and Tamara (Anthony) Giarrusso. 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grand children. She is also survived by her sisters Donna Frost and Kathy Slocum in Iowa.
Sharon was born October 25, 1943 in Omaha, NE. Her family moved to Waterloo, Iowa where she was raised and attended West High School, Gates College, and met the love of her life, Gaylord (Gayle) Parsons. They were married February 9th, 1963.
Together they created a beautiful family and endless memories.
She was a passionate baker, (her apple pie's could not be beat, even though family members tried they could never make them the same as hers. Ultimate caretaker and made everyone feel as though they were number one.
She was in the medical profession for years, known as “Nurse Sharon” to many.
She will always be remembered by all of those she touched.
Her family will be honoring her request to host a private “Celebration of Life” in place of a public funeral.
