Mr. Gregory M. Ferguson, 62, of Palatine Church Road, Fort Plain, New York passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 13, 2018.

Born on August 22, 1955 in Kittery, Maine, he was the son of Phillip D. Ferguson and Jane E. Santamour Esposito.

Greg was a loving husband to his wife Carolyn Rose, father to his children; daughters Anna Banana (Anna) and Bean (Lyndsay), and son Jason, and proud patriot.

Greg joined the US Army in 1976, and worked in many positions and multiple countries around the world, to make everyone he cared about safer.

When he retired in 2014, he was the Director of Emergency Services for the Department of the Army at Fort Drum. He served his country proudly for a total of 35 years.

First and foremost, family was everything to Greg. He and Carolyn spent 16 wonderful years together, getting married on April 26th, 2003. For him, nothing could match the joy and love that he had for his children and grandchildren.

Greg was also an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting. He loved doing anything where he could create things that would bring happiness to the people around him including building, gardening, and cooking.

Mr. Ferguson was predeceased by his father, and is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ferguson of Fort Plain, NY; mother and step-father, Jane and Angelo Esposito of Seneca Falls, NY; daughters, Anna and Caleb Richter of Watertown, NY, Lyndsay and Josh Stein of Niskayuna, NY, son, Jason Olin of Brewerton, NY; 5 grandchildren, Kayla, CJ, Grace, Ella, Camden Gregory; siblings, Cyndy, Denise, Mary-Ellen, Chet, Phyllis, Eric, Patti, Felicia; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
