Tabitha B. Field married Robert Wood (1789-1849) on 5 Sept. 1809 in Randolph County, NC. They went from North Carolina to Indiana sometime before 1820. They had eleven children: Mariah Wood (c.1810-?, Mrs. Jonas Finger), Sophia Wood (1811-1890, Mrs. James Hamer), Evaline Wood (1814-1841, Mrs. Joseph Hamer), Mary "Polly" Wood (1815-1849, Mrs. Harvey McFall), Holly Wood (c. 1820-?, Mrs. Frederick Nugent), Helmsley Wood (c. 1826-?, m. Harriett Montgomery Hamer, 2nd. Mary Ann Moore), Robert Hamilton Wood (1827-1848, m. Mahala P. Hamer), Tabitha Louisa "Eliza" Wood(c. 1830-?, Mrs. William Henry Nugent, later Mrs. John Foote), James M. Wood (1832-1851), Barzilla Wood (c. 1833-?, m. Mary Ann Stotts), Infant child (born & died 20 April 1835).

Tabitha apparently died giving birth to her eleventh child. The two of them are buried together. Actually, there appear to be two tombstones for Tabitha. I expect the smaller one marks the burial of the child.

Many thanks to "Mandopkr" for originally creating this memorial, and for making another trip to the cemetery for more pictures of the tombstones.
