Michael Troy Stokes, 56, passed away Mon. July 16, 2018 at the Merit Health Hospital in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Wed. July 18, 2018 from 1 p.m.-2:45 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral services are 3 p.m. on Wed. July 18, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Clifton Baptist Church Cemetery in Scott County, MS.

Mr. Stokes was born in Forest, MS and was a longtime resident of Rankin County, MS. He was a graduate of Pearl High School and Belhaven University. In 2014, Mr. Stokes retired from the Mississippi Department of Transportation. Mr. Stokes was a very loving man who enjoyed every minute he spent with his family.

He is survived by his three children, Mallory Stokes, Amanda Stokes and Troy Stokes; mother, Mary L. Jones; father and step mother, Jimmy and Barbara Stokes; two sisters, Laura Jones Black (Karol) and Chris Jones; brother, Jim Stokes (Leigh) and several step sisters and step brothers.
