Mr. Stokes was born in Forest, MS and was a longtime resident of Rankin County, MS. He was a graduate of Pearl High School and Belhaven University. In 2014, Mr. Stokes retired from the Mississippi Department of Transportation. Mr. Stokes was a very loving man who enjoyed every minute he spent with his family.
He is survived by his three children, Mallory Stokes, Amanda Stokes and Troy Stokes; mother, Mary L. Jones; father and step mother, Jimmy and Barbara Stokes; two sisters, Laura Jones Black (Karol) and Chris Jones; brother, Jim Stokes (Leigh) and several step sisters and step brothers.
