Rob Ballentine was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Quentin and Betty (Curry) Ballentine. He spent his early childhood in Merriam, Kansas, playing baseball and basketball. The family moved to Leadville, CO in 1955 and settled near Ski Cooper. He graduated from Colorado State University in 1966, then spent two years in the Army. Rob worked at the Climax Molybdenum Mine and later at Ball Metal Corp. in Golden. He was an avid golfer and a loyal fan of CSU football and basketball and the Denver Broncos. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl (Moffett), sons Cory Ballentine, Zach Ballentine and Jake Hill; brothers Barry (wife Jeanne) and Mark (wife Donna); grandchildren Brayson Ballentine and Zoey Black and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be an open house at 4699 Foothills Drive in Loveland on Saturday Dec. 16th, 1:00-4:00pm so friends and family may share stories and memories of Rob.
