Lela Belle McEuin Bell, age 82, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday morning, July 16, 2018 at Life Care Center.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints with Bishop Robin Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 9, 1936 in Stratford, Oklahoma, Lela was the daughter of the late Sydney Thomas McEuin and the late Emma May Jameson McEuin. She was a graduate of Meeker High School in Oklahoma. Lela previously worked as a key punch operator for Oklahoma Turnpike Authority where she retired. She was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, and she enjoyed sharing the gospel with others. Lela enjoyed genealogy and spending time looking up the history of her family. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and it always made her day when her son, John, came and visited her at the nursing home.

She is survived by her sons: John Pierce of Columbia, Glen (Bonnie) Pierce of Del City, OK, Larry (Letitia) Pierce of Newalla, OK; daughter: Marianne (Robin) Rawson of Newalla, OK; thirteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Randy Pierce; and siblings.

Pallbearers will be: John Pierce, Larry Pierce, Glen Pierce, Kyle Pierce, Jonathon Jarvis, Aharon Oskain, and John Bible.
