Harold Norman Neuhaus, 94, of Chilton, died on July 12, 2018, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton.

He was born March 28, 1924, on the Neuhaus homestead in the Town of Herman, Sheboygan County, son of Albert and Alma (Schroer) Neuhaus. On November 14, 1953, he married Florence Kandler; she preceded him in death on May 11, 1978. He remarried Dorothy Bowe on November 17, 1979, who preceded him in death on May 9, 2018.

Harold graduated from Kiel High School. He worked at Lake to Lake. He owned and operated a dairy farm most of his life. Harold enjoyed playing music. He played the baritone in the high school band and the Kiel municipal band. All throughout his life, he could often be seen and heard playing the piano, taking pictures and drawing. He absolutely delighted in the antics of little ones.

Harold is survived by his children: Lorraine Meyer, widowed (John Meyer), Elroy Neuhaus (Donella), Jim Neuhaus, Carol Henninger (Bruce); step-children: Elizabeth Hansen (Robin), Evelyn Bowe, Pamela (John) Ziolkowski; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Marie Schwinn; sisters-in law: Irene Neuhaus and Virginia Neuhaus; and many other relatives and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, and 7 siblings: Armin (Esther) Neuhaus, Esther Neuhaus, Helen (Reinhard) Ulrich, Arno Neuhaus, Roland Neuhaus and Elmer Neuhaus.

Funeral services are set for 5:30pm on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Ebenezer United Church of Christ ( 44 W. Washington St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the church on the day of the service from 3:00pm until 5:15pm. Burial is scheduled at 11:00am on Friday, July 20, 2018, at the Bethel Cemetery in Ada.
