Anita Fuller passed away peacefully on July 6th in Baton Rouge the age of 73. Anita was a native of Monroe, La and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. After graduating from West Monroe High School in 1962, she received her Masters degree in teaching in Houston, Tx and began work in the East Baton Rouge school system where she remained for 31 years. While working in the school system she began The Talented and Gifted program (TAG) and also worked part-time in the East Baton Rouge Public Library.

She was an active parishioner at First United Methodist Church where she participated in the choir and bible study and also maintained a strong connection to her family church Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church in Monroe. Anita loved her family and especially her baby dog Pretzel. She was an avid traveler and loved seeing the beauty that the world had to offer.

She is survived by her brother Jerry Fuller (Sandra), her sister Delia McLauglin (Tommy), her nephews Benjamin Fuller ,Thomas Noah Hackney, Aaron McLaughlin her niece Rebecca Lubiejewski.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward Fuller and Bennie Thompson.

Visitation will be at First United Methodist Church 930 North Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA on Tuesday July 10 at 2pm a memorial service will follow at 3pm. A second visitation will be held at Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church, 4390 Old Sterlington Rd Monroe, LA on Thursday July 12th at 2pm, a memorial service will follow at 3pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to First United Methodist Church or Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church in her memory
