Michelle Renee McDonald, age 46, of Red Oak, IA passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE
.
She was born June 12, 1972, in Nebraska City, NE to Gary and Vicki (McCallum) Lee. She attended Nebraska City High School, graduating in 1990. She married Patric McDonald, Jr. on August 22, 1998, in Shenandoah, IA and became filled with joy on June 15, 2000 when she gave birth to her daughter Cassaundra McDonald.

She worked in the deli department of Shenandoah Wal-Mart, making sandwiches and being the best parfait assembler. Michelle enjoyed collecting dragons, minions, and nesting dolls. She also enjoyed watching television, Discovery ID and America’s Got Talent, as well as looking for men on roofs and using up all her phone data sharing cat pictures with friends and family on Facebook.

Michelle was preceded in death by grandparents Thornton and Bernardine Lee and Philip and June McCallum and other extended family.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Patric McDonald, Jr. of Red Oak, IA, Cassaundra McDonald of Red Oak, IA, sister Jennifer (Lee) Crook of Beaver Lake, NE; nephew Cole Crook, niece, Madison Crook, parents Gary and Vicki (McCallum) Lee of Auburn, NE, best friend and cousin Tammy (Lee) Kruse of Syracuse, NE, sister-in-law Alisha McDonald of Nebr. City, NE, parents-in-law Patric and Marcia (Marunda) McDonald of Nebr. City, NE, many cousins and friends and a house full of cats: Sadie, Lilly, Baby, O’Malley, and Fred.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.

After the services family, friends, and others whose lives Michelle touched are invited to come to the Community of Christ Church (1536 N. 10th St., Nebraska City) to reminisce, grieve, support each other and of course, just chat.

Memorials may be given to the Pediatric Oncology Department at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
