She was a daughter of William and Gertrude (Fisher) Turcott. She attended Clayton High School, received her GED in Harrisville, and her associates degree in Business Administration from JCC.

She married Maurice A. “Dude” Cole on 7/7/1967 in Hallstead, PA. He died on 3/13/1992.

She was a waitress in various Clayton restaurants, including McCormick’s, was a seamstress at Clayton Manufacturing Co., and an assembler at Faichney’s Instruments, Watertown. Most recently, she worked as a mortuary clerk on Ft. Drum. She enjoyed sewing and gardening in her spare time.

She was survived by a son, James H. (Linda) Turcott; a daughter, Julie A. Bailey; two stepdaughters, Keitha L. (Dave) Peabody and Delight M. Lee (companion, Tony); three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; a brother, Wendell Turcott; and a sister, Vyta (Stewart) Smith.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Alta Mary Turcott, who died in infancy; four stepsons, Charles Cole, who died in infancy, and Gardiner C., Myron A. “Mike”, and Terry D. Cole; four brothers, William, George, Kenneth, and Lyle Turcott; and a sister, Beulah Hawn.
