MEADE - Mary Elizabeth, long time resident of Garden City, New York, died peacefully in her sleep on July 14, 2018. Mary leaves behind her beloved children: Maryanne (Mark) Krasinski, Thomas (Pam), William and Edward J. Meade. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Kris, Matthew (Ariane) Krasinski, Kelly and Tommy Meade, and great grandchildren Theo and Lily Krasinski. Also surviving are her sister, Helen Hickey, and sisters-in- law Elizabeth Cassidy, Marion Meade, and many loved nieces and nephews. Predeceased of her husband Edward of 56 years, an Army Veteran of WWII, brother William Lavelle, and sister Anne Landers. Wake will be held at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home on 1201 Franklin Avenue in Garden City on Wednesday, July 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Garden City on Thursday, July 19th, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, New York. Special thanks to Dr. Joe Mackey, Maria Glorioso and the caring nursing staff at A. Holly Patterson Home who helped with Mary's final days.
