Dora F. Wise, age 86, passed away at her home on Sunday July 20, 2008. She was born March 29, 1922 in Clear Lake and was raised in Sedro- Woolley.
She was married to Frank Wise on November 4, 1939 in Coupeville and was a lifetime resident of Skagit Valley. She was employed as a seamstress at Sondales.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Frank; her son, Ron; parents, Perry and Fern Chappell; brother-in-laws Edward, Jim and Bud.
She is survived by her daughter Camille (Richard) Shelby of Edmonds; 2 grandchildren, Dawn Hobbs and Veronica Spaulding; 1 great- grandchild, Karisa Hobbs; brother-in-law Robert Wise of Surprise, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no services held.
The family would like to thank Skagit Hospice and the numerous caregivers for their kind care of Dora.
Memorials may be made to the Skagit Hospice Foundation or the Visiting Angels.
Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Mount Vernon.
